premnayloon 199 Posted June 19, 2016 Report Share Tommy, do you dip those posts, And how much do you add on, I've been dipping mine in a mixture of diesel, creosote, and used engine oil, adding 30p per post. Quote Link to comment
tommy7840 3 Posted June 20, 2016 Report Share hello i do dip them in proper coal tar creosote its good stuff!! i do mix in some diesel and old engine oil it makes it go farther.i think it wants to be a bit more than 30p for the hassle its a bit of work.I put them in the shed to dry out then i dip them for a few days then put them in another barrel to dry then i stack them in a stillage.I was thinking it wants to be at least 50p to a £1 Quote Link to comment
tepapa 182 Posted June 21, 2016 Report Share If the posts are dry and dipped for a few days they will take in more than 30p worth of creo without any labour. Quote Link to comment
