Landrover
Simple question what boots does everyone wear ? I like ones with a high ankle that provides lots of support, currently have gritsport rangers but would like something with a steel toe cap for a bit more protection ! What's does everyone Ellsworth wear ?

HenryG
Depending on ground conditions......buckler boots on dry short grass but soon as wet long grass or mud gotta be either the hunter or le chameau full zip neoprene wellies!!!! Frontrowfencing
I use some dickies bots generally, can't remember what they are called, just bought a new pair, whicker I think they are, they are quite good generally but I am heavy on boots. I can't bring myself to expensive neoprene lined wellies, as nice as they are and I do have a pair for when not working, they are good, but they just don't seem to get on well with barb wire when I have my clumsy clod hoppers in them. premnayloon
I have a pair of boots from englebert strauss, keep them water proofed and the have been good, not cheap but they are worth the money, As for wellies, I have discussed this with others and they agree with me that the steel toe capped one's seem to split easier than non safety ones my last 2 pairs of safety boots didn't last a year both splitting on the fold of foot when kneeling down last no safety well into thier second year. MikeW
I wear haix desert army boots with goretex lining, they are not safety boots but very comfortable and water proof. I find wellies too flimsy and barbed wire just ruins them and everything else I wear! I got mine from the war and peace show for £20 and they are the best boots ive ever had! Finding good footwear for fencing is near on impossible imo....
tepapa
Currently in Oregon chainsaw boots. Water proof with gortex. We use chainsaws at random times during the day and even though I'm not a big fan of health and safety but I'm quite attached to my feet :-)

RED STAG
not steel toe or chainsaw repellent but very comfortable and good traction with my slender frame https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=hoggs+of+fife+fell+boots&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=mGTaVJjuJZfiau_zgtgH&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAg&biw=1680&bih=888#imgdii=_&imgrc=1hcIO9-kXY1dBM%253A%3BqZw5bXc9SPGuPM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.gundoggear.co.uk%252Fekmps%252Fshops%252Fgundoggear%252Fimages%252FHoggs-of-Fife-F10R-Braemaster-NSL-Fell-Boot-2613-p.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.gundoggear.co.uk%252Fhoggs-of-fife-f10r-braemaster---nsl-fell-boot-2613-p.asp%3B300%3B300
Charliehub
Quite happy in a pair of dickies Severn safty boots warm comfy and last about 6 /8 months but we have the added advantage of getting them at trade price for the shop so about £25.. Wouldn't be without steel toe caps though just don't feel safe without them
