chrisjames
Does anyone have experience of using metal fence posts? We have several fence lines of rotting timber posts that want replacing (and I've heard that metal can't rot ) Thanks!
Farmandforestry
Metal does rot look at all the miles of estate rails that have rotted off around the uk. A galvanised stake like those from McVeigh Parker will last longer that most timber. But what grade timber did you originally use? Was it use class 3 if you went for the cheapest option then it was a creosote post will last a lot longer. The problem is with metal stakes is what are you going to use for strainer posts? James Corbett
The Mcveigh Parker system comes with metal straining posts as well as a strut system.
