Robbell
Is it just me or do any of you find it easier to put up and tension than the traditional hinge joint?
Frontrowfencing
Not just you rob, it's me as well. I much prefer it, and put it up as standard now. We Have done for a while. I much prefer it and think it leaves a better standard of fence.

D A MacDougall Fencing
Am wanting to go down the torus net route there seems to be a lot off benefit for me installing it . But what are the benefit s for my clients . They will ask me why it more expensive and I will say it pull up easier and faster.
Charliehub
I think you will really be able to work on the less posts argument with the solid vertical wires over hinge joint maybe you could convince them to go further apart if they are not happy you could always knock in a post between afterwards at the extra cost ..!? I personally think the extra cost is lost agains the time saved in ease of erection
tepapa
How well does it pull up over uneven ground ?
premnayloon
Good point if it's more solid a product does that not mean it would not be so plyable over humps and bumps?
Robbell
so far we have been pleasantly surprised on the uneven ground
Charliehub
I couldn't say on very uneven ground as we don't get anything down here like you do up in the hills but like rob says no trouble with anything we've come across so far

I personally think the extra cost is lost agains the time saved in ease of erection Yes ping it up between solid strainers and you can stretch the intermediate spacing 4m is minimum required, 5 or 6 is fine to be honest. Like all wire (correctly installed) fences it's all about the strainers. As Charlie above says, perhaps stretch inters out to 6m spacing and say you can go back at later date and knock in some cheap inters in the gaps to give 3m spacing overall. In reality the customer will conclude long before they even think about calling you back, the fence is more than ok as it is.
MikeW
its all very well having 6 m spacings but most customers prefer more posts for a visual barrier as much as anything else. I have done many a job with torus or x fence net and 2 barb on nice big runs with 4" posts every 1.8m because that's what they want!
D A MacDougall Fencing
well aye got a couple off km off hinge joint to get threw .and then I think am just going to go for it see what people think and take it from there.thanks
premnayloon
Yep I can't get customers to go any more than 3metres spacing they do t trust any further distance if park contains some limmy heifers.
Ben Fencin
On uneven ground I like to have a set of gripples, that allows you to "fine tune" each wire. With a major change in elevation, I have a post at that change spot and then put in a set of gripples next to it to make the direction change.
