MikeW
Just out of interest, when you chaps use plain wire to either top stock/horse fencing or for rabbit fencing etc, do you use 2.5mm or 3.15 mm? I used to use 3.15 but now favour 2.5 as its easier to work with and much easier on the snips. Thanks
Ajmoore1
Tend to use 2.5mm as it is easier to work with.
James Corbett
Use 2.5 for line wire and majority of top wires but if two strands of electric or something like that use 3.1 just more visible if only plain being used. Probably doesn't make alot of difference just always have

D A MacDougall Fencing
3.15 all the time for no reason other than that's what I've always used
Frontrowfencing
2.5 generally and 3.15 on box strainers.
premnayloon
also for me the 2.5 mm is easier to twist when it comes to attaching rads
