RCCM
If you were doing a real belts and braces job and wanted to treat and protect all the cut ends, mortices etc on strutts and box strainers what would you use to match in with tanalised wood? so no creosote products. Charliehub
Yep we use it a lot and it's good...still oil based so sooks in well a lot of the garden stuff we do we use it on fresh cuts to match the colour up but also mortices on strainer posts. Some of them are water based and not as good the last lot we got was another make and oil based will check in the workshop today and let you know the make

Charliehub
That looks just the ticket, thank you Any good stockists? You should be able to get it from any timber yard that treats its own timber. It's not cheep though normally around the £20 per 2.5 l can, but it goes a long way we tend to use a small hand sprayer. Just don't breath it in ... Not pleasant ....!
