digga
hi i use to use rylock netting but started having trouble sometimes with slack wires so brought some R8/80/15 Torus high tensile fence to try out very nice wire . just wondering if theres any tips for striping ends (knots ) to tie off ? as use to using hinge joint or x fencing for equestrian stuff
Frontrowfencing
Just snip the knot at the beach, where it comes round the wire at 90 degrees to the way it is running. Clear as mud, I know what I mean, alternatively if you are not to bothered, thresh the **** out of it with a hammer and use brute force.
digga
thanks for the reply frontrow didnt want to go along the lines of hammer and brute force that tends to get old very quick :-)
tepapa
Knipex pliers to cut the knot
Robbell
Knipex pliers and cut the knot (knipex are better than the Barco ones) when bending the wire it can break where the knot is/ was, try not to bend on that piece another clear as mud production for the front line of fencing lol
Frontrowfencing
We use maun pliers. Just read my Sat post back and it makes no sense. I have big fat fingers and stupid predictive text. Bear with me, one day I might get there.
tommy7840
I have been doing this today with the tornado horse wire.I found cutting the knot through with a very good set of wire cutters works well. I use BETA wire cutters and i must say they are great.
lee hampton
knipex wire cutters work well... You don't need to to cut the joint simply grab a hold of the joint give it a slight twist and you'll manage to slide it off, saves blunting your cutters.
