GMS Timber
Hi again gents,I've been married to, against my own will, 15 pallets of 1.65m x 85mm UC4 machine rounds. Now I've been trying to sell them to chicken, rabbit and other small critter farms, tree plant companies etc. I'm really at a loss to where else could these be used. Any and all advice would be kindly appreciated! Thanks!
Goaty
Allotments, landscapers for tree stakes rabbit net buried in fence round new hedges etc. Should shift aload over the winter months. When they've gone everyone will want them.
tepapa
They're normal size agri fence posts round here, so will do any stock fence.
GMS Timber
Do you use them often, Tepapa ? Or do your customers tend to use the 50mm - 75mm width ?
tepapa
Don't use tanalised UC4 often but when I do its that size. 50/75mm would be too small for me.
Ajmoore1
Yep pretty much what we use for stock fencing. Sure most farmers would buy them if there the correct price. Think we are paying £2 ish a post.
GMS Timber
Thanks for all the replies guys, I really do appreciate your input and it really helps me. I'll be concentrating more on local farmers. Yep pretty much what we use for stock fencing. Sure most farmers would buy them if there the correct price. Think we are paying £2 ish a post. I believe our price is correct as I have yet to find a better retail price for the same product.
GMS Timber
Hello again,Don't want to create new topics, but I need some advice again. Got some 2.4m x 200mm and 150mm machine rounds. Where are they mostly used in fencing ?
tepapa
200s are either gate posts or strainers, 150s strainers for livestock fencing. Ur starting to make me worry now, u don't seem to know what ur stock is for.
Goaty
2.4 could be used for box strainers. As tepapa says you might be better off researching before buying. Plenty of free advice on the web. Other merchants will sometimes have quite a bit of info.
GMS Timber
I bought them because I had a client for them, but I still have some left over and didn't ask what he was using them for. I appreciate you worrying on my behalf, but please don't lose sleep over me, I'll manage somehow Thanks for the help!
