where to buy gates trade?

Hello fellow fencers,

Does anyone no where you can purchase metal field gates at trade price or straight of the manafacturer?

I buy IAE ones from a national supplier and they are seriously competitive. Most people couldn't/wouldn't make them for what you can buy them for.

Its good stuff IAE by the look of it.do you have to buy many to get them at good money mike? Thats the sort of supplier i could do with going to if they are competitive.

I tend to get them from our local stockist such as the farm supplies places. Not sure where you're based, but our local one is Chelford Farm Supplies for the gates. I use them as I've known them for years and they give a pretty generous discount on large orders.

I just buy them from our merchant as we go along, keep a few in stock, but I can't see the point of keeping a lot in stock to save £5 per gate and either risk them getting nicked, or loosing their shine by the time the get used.

Thats the problem with keeping to much stock isnt it sjh it will get nicked or they go to look old before you use them.I just wanted a few for my own ground and a couple in stock.

I keep very little in now. Most deliveries are the same week, so I can't see the point in having too much kicking about. I could probably save some money in having arctics of timber at a time, but it ties the money up, and I'd end up running out of something, going back to my merchant with my tail up my a*#e begging for a delivery
