Ajmoore1 Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 Hi As per the title really. I have been doing some fencing maintenance for a customer, mainly replacing gate posts in fields which are all electrically fenced for cattle. The lead out cable that was on the old posts needs to be extended as there was no slack on them when they installed them. I am thinking of joining with a red insulated butt crimp and then cover with heat shrink. Will this be ok or is there another way of doing. Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance Gallagher do an underground electric fencing joint for just that purpose. Never used them myself yet but might be worth a look?
