Archie
Iv noticed over years where ever o go different areas charge different rates per meter. Sometimes I think I must be to expensive. Next person I speak to and I seem cheap. The most common type of fencing I do is ht/8/80/15 rylock. 3.15 ht plain bottom wire and barb or Elec above. Posts @ 3 m. For average terrain and let's say 150 m +. Supply and erect I'd usually charge around £4.50 per meter and £30 per strainer post with stays. How does this compare with you guys

Frontrowfencing
Hot topic at times. I kno what you mean, I price a job that I think,I should get and told I am too expensive price a job expensive as I don't want it and seem to get it. Being told I am cheapest. No rhyme or reason. My prices vary greatly as so many different conditions, but I would be around 5ish for our spec, maybe less if we had lots of straight runs and more on difficult stuff. We also have some awkward customers for them I add what is known as dirty otter tax. dirty otter tax does vary depending on the size of the dirty otter. Frontrowfencing
It looks like tornado have not allowed me to use the word I use and replaced it with dirty otter . Anyway it is a name of the female genitalia rhyming with mat.
Archie
Haha frontrow. I have a similar tax system. Suppose if you get plenty work and happy with what you earn then price must be right. Still would hate to think I was to cheap.
West Fork Fence
We call that the PITA fee.....Pain In The A.......
oregonfarmfencer
We call that the PITA fee.....Pain In The A....... Yep. Got one of those here too. PITA jobs get bid ridiculously high, but for some reason we always get them. Must be because were the only ones stupid enough to bid it in the first place? premnayloon
I have certain discounts. The "tidy" discount for certain lady's. I'm sure you can workj it out. There is also the awkward b'stard levy to be added to those who show awkwardness above and beyond the call of duty
Archie
I have the hagglers 10%. If I know someone is going to haggle me down in price I add 10% to quote. Then knock of 5% when they haggle. They're delighted as they think they have a bargain. I'm delighted as there actually still paying 5% more than anyone else
haslemerefencing
We find pricing really varyies down south. On stock fencing there are so few of us in the area with the right gear you can find yourself up against guys doing it by hand. But if you've got loads on you can creep the price up, and visa versa
tommy7840
I did a job in the summer which was over a thousand metres and to supply and erect i charged him £5 which was using creosote dipped tanalised stakes and ht pig netting with 1 strand of ht barb.Which is a pretty keen rate i think.
