Ringfencing
Yep straight forward but have to work of the road so will have to move every now and again . I was going in a £4 pm a bit extra for the inconvenience.
Matt on the Moors
Well, with 2 blokes tractor and rammer (or whatever) and truck carrying materials- should comfortably get it done in a day- so whatever you want for a day with that setup divided by 140! I try not to get too hung up on meter rates simply because there are too many variables to put a blanket price on it, typical example being 20 meters of stock fencing would be running at a complete loss to try and do it for £2.50 PM but doing 200 meters makes it work out. Matt on the Moors
Trouble with this sized job I find if doing it my meter you may finish at half 2/ 3 o clock, but unlikely to have anything else to go onto nearby to make up your target amount for the day- so all factors to put towards overall pricing? Goaty
What is the target per man day? £200?
Ringfencing
Very true Matt on a daily rate I would look at £400. For 2 men truck/trailer tractor / rammer I'll probably do this on my own so by the time I've picked up materials got tractor over there etc it will end up easily going into a second day and I'm looking for £260.00 ish for 1 man and machine per day . I was just fishing for input on rates as I'm always selling myself short.
Matt on the Moors
Sounds similar pricing to me mate. Two blokes came to fit a carpet at our house a while back and got nearly £400 for an early finish day with just a van and carpet fitting tools. Turning up with truck tractor and knocker plus all hand tools could easily be £30-50k worth of kit involved- so good value at £400 I'd say. Ringfencing
I bet those carpet fitters don't have bad weather, **** ground conditions, and mechanical hiccups to help eat into any profit either ????
