tepapa
Been asked to quote for a dog fence round a field. Thought id keep the post open regarding size of dog as they will need different style fences but what styles, type/size nettings have people used to keep dogs contained, on a field scale, to keep them apart from livestock? Matt on the Moors
I often suggest horse netting for this, at 4 ft high it will contain most dogs.
HenryG
I used 5' net last week did the job perfect have got a couple of pictures on phone but no idea how to upload them on here
Charliehub
In the past we have used horse mesh also poltury net and badger net depends on the dogs but all worked well
West Fork Fence
Depends on the size of the dog, but as stated above, we use horse net on a regular basis as well as 1348-12 or 1348-6 fixed knot for large dogs. (T13/122/15 or T13/122/30)
Goaty
We did a fence with poultry/rabbit net of the hexagonal twist type. It was customer spec. But I wasn't impressed with it. Proper poultry net or horse height will be much better.
Matt on the Moors
Goaty, know what you mean with 'chicken netting' being unimpressive, a customer one asked me to install 1800mm high enclosure out of it, perhaps I hadn't quite got the technique right but couldnt get it hanging evenly off the tensioned plain wire I hogringed it to- it seemed to be baggy in areas and not terribly convincing as an enclosure anyway! never used it since and prefer nicely strained horse net instead
stevew
We always use 12 110/8 or 12 110/5 depending on the size of dog, for extra hight one or two strands of plain wire on the top

Best used nailed to chicken runs or rails if for rabbit fences.
Mialenco
You can also opt for deer fences for keeping your dogs, as they don't have wider gap to let the dogs escape.
