Thegoatman22
I have been having problems with my hi tensil wire breaking off while tying the knot. Mostly when tying two wire together with a Texas brown know, but sometimes when doing the twists on a termination knot. What am I doiing wrong. West Fork Fence
The wire you are using is likely 200kpsi or higher. Wire that stiff gets brittle. 180kpsi right up to the 200kpsi is the sweet spot for hand knoting. This is why Tornado net is so easy to work with.....consistent line wires in that range. Hopefully this will be helpful.

RED STAG
It may not be your fault could be the wire you are using is it Tornado?
RED STAG
IF its tornado wire any issues are dealt with promptly and professionally one of the benefits of using a quality company.
Ruaraidhmac
I ALWAYS have this issue with Hamptons wire, but NEVER with Tornado's wire. And I'm not just saying that because I'm on their forum! I don't use many knots anymore as FC spec says don't, and I accept their reasoning for this. Ruaraidhmac
Also- watch out for the monkey grips crimping the wire as it creates a weak point
premnayloon
Also- watch out for the monkey grips crimping the wire as it creates a weak point As long as you make sure wire is properly in the jaws of stretchers it should be OK certainly if its not I right it will cause a weak point. M&S Fencing
We had the same with other brands when farmers supply we find heating the wire with a blow torch just gently warm it makes it very supple and easy to work with.
Stanley Thomas
Yes!! Wire would be of using 200kpsi or higher. I had same problem with me than I used 180kpsi wire.
