Thegoatman22
I am bidding out a deer fence, just the plastic mesh attached to 3 strands of high tensil. I thinknits 6 ft tall. How would you guys suggest the corner posts? Its for a small garden area.
West Fork Fence
What kind of deer? 6' is a chip shot for yearlings in this neighborhood.
Thegoatman22
It might be eight, I installed it once, but over an existing high tensile fence, mostly I am curious in how the corner posts should go, would you H post it at 37 in like field fence, just worried about the top line. West Fork Fence
We would set the horizontal a bit higher......2/3 to 3/4 or so the total height of the fence.
West Fork Fence
This is how we would generally do it.

We do exactly the the same except we generally put a additional horizontal at about a foot off the ground on eight foot. Makes the long legged brace a lot more rigid. I stumbled on some 6" schedule 80, so I figured it'd be stiff enough.

Wouldn't want to be wasteful. lol

Do you run brace wire on both horizontal braces?

We don't use any brace wire on a welded pipe brace, but this is what we'd do on a timber post brace. http://www.farmfencetalk.co.uk/gallery/image/417-img-3805/

We weld a extra horizontal pipe about a foot of the ground. No brace wires on a welded pipe brace. We use a diagonal pipe brace to a stubby post. Or as we call it a dead man. Don't seeing it helping with wood. If forced to use wood on a game fence I would probably use the double H brace.
