tepapa
Has anybody got any tips or tricks to get HT net to pull evenly round a tight or 90 degree corner, or is it best to stop and start a new run?
Frontrowfencing
I always pull to the sharp corner and then tie off and start again. I know it's wrong but sometimes we staple off and carry on round the back rather than tie. Just depends.
D A MacDougall Fencing
It's hard to say . But some time pulling from both ends works . I do a lot off small woodland compartments and basically u are going round in a loop there may be 500 m our 1000 m our more our less.but I pull from both end and centre at the same time. Once u pull up the slack I just go 2 our 3 linked s on each set of chans till she's all tight.
hampsvalleyboundaries
I always pull to the corner then put another set of clamps and pullers and pull to the next corner then take of the back one and move it to the front. Its always bin a pretty even pull for me.
D A MacDougall Fencing
Yep that works well iff u have only got 2 sets off clamps. When it's a corner that the ground drops our rise sharply . I will pull from both ends and at the corner and tye off at the corner on both directions It's a lot off work but works well. But u need 4 sets off clamp and and pullers..
Robbell
we fence an a lot of uneasy ground, we jump one set past the other a lot, if there is a sudden change if directin up or down then i might pop a row of gripples in, pull with the boards then make the final adjustments with the gripples before wrapping off the tails
MikeW
I would make sure there was a gripple join either side of the bend, pull most of the slack out with a clamp then pull both sides of the corner simultaneously with the gripples, works well if you like gripples! tepapa
Thanks for the advice, I've been pulling net in all directions this week. Only had one set of clamps and strainers until I got clamp on the tractor so only ever pulled to the end or centre. I didn't want to keep tying off the strain and starting again as the runs can get short. Again a massive thanks .
