Joining HT barb

How are you fellas joining HT barb ? always looking to save a bit time I strip barbs of for about a foot each end and use a figure of 8 knot and tidy the ends of by a few tight wraps.

I do same as use and always use 500m rolls save a lot of time. Or if it's a big top wire job 2000m rolls.

Never had any success with crimps will Speke to the oracle about crimps next time.

500 m rolls not really set up for dealing with them still running up and down the line with barb on a pole lol

Figure 8 the same as you, works well and looks nice

fig of 8 but as its barbed wire we don't tie just leave the ends same length as barbs

I just do big lazy raps 1 ft both direction and when pulled it binds almost like a rap guy not seen it fail yet on ht barb .have done fig o 8 aswell but it's a bit off a hassle taken the barbs off

I do the same as you D A Mcdougall. Just do big lazy loops and like you ive never seen it fail.
