Ive been fencing now for about 8 years working for a company until last year I decided to go on my own I was wondering how do I go about getting contracts for the forestry commission? premnayloon Posted April 4, 2014 Report Share Posted April 4, 2014 Well I think what helped me was the fact I worked for the FC in a squad so knew the correct contacts the old who you know, rather than what you know. However get in touch with your local district office and let them know you wish to quote for work, and hope they get in touch. The commission has good points, guaranteed to pay, and always within 30 days, usually within 14 days in my experience. However you will need to have all necessary certification, risk assessments, up to date, spill kits we etc...... However it is worth getting on to their approved contractor list as this will be distributed to their neighbours who require work carried out.
